A whole new adventure, on Nintendo's brand new home console. Sonic is found with a set around the Arabian Nights world, and the last few pages of the story are missing. The blue blur must recreate these pages by "blasting through with Sonic Speed!". Maybe.

OK, so the story may not be much. In fact, it sounds extremely like a SEGA Pico title. "Yay Sonic, let's collect pages together!". But Sonic Wildfire hides some exciting features. The first proper Sonic game that lets you play as Sonic and nobody else for a change. A whole new control system based on your tilt movement - Sonic runs along a set path and using the Wii controller you can jump or turn to the side, maybe even uncovering hidden paths along the way. An original set piece that harks more towards the classic era where the Sonic games relied on original storytelling (save for the constant Star Wars references) and not mainstream pandering.

The fact that Yojiro Ogawa, the genius behind not only Project Rub and the Rub Rabbits but recent Sonic success Sonic Rush, and we all have a reason to be cheerful. Aside from the fact that you use the Wii controller to jump and move by tilting and shaking it, and that fire plays an important part of the game, nothing has been announced aside from plenty of media.
